What you own
The short version
- You get a subname such as
yourname.cillionaire.eth, recorded on the Ethereum blockchain with your wallet as its owner. - It sits under
cillionaire.eth, which is owned by JEDI360, LLC. It is not an independent .eth registration. - Under the current ENS protocol, the owner of a parent name can technically change or remove its subnames. We will only do so in the situations our terms describe.
- Each purchase covers 12 months. Renewal is optional and never automatic.
- A Cillionaire name is a service, not an investment. We make no promise about resale value.
What you control
Once your name is created, your wallet is its owner on the ENS registry. That means you can:
- point it at your wallet address and other cryptocurrency addresses;
- set records such as an avatar, website and social handles;
- use it in wallets and apps that support ENS names;
- choose a different resolver (the contract that stores your records).
The onchain owner can also transfer the subname to another wallet. Your Cillionaire account, hosted profile and renewals stay linked to the wallet you signed up with; our transfer policy is being finalised.
What depends on us
- The parent name. Your subname only works while
cillionaire.ethstays registered. Keeping it registered is our responsibility, and we plan to renew it well beyond every customer's term. - Parent control. Today's ENS rules let the parent owner reassign or remove subnames. This ability will be held in a dedicated, secured company wallet and used only to enforce expiry, to fix our own mistakes, or for legal and abuse reasons set out in our terms.
- Your hosted profile. We host your profile page. The page and your onchain name are separate: if a profile is suspended for breaking our rules, that does not by itself remove your name, and the reverse is also true.
Term, renewal and expiry
- Your term starts when your name is confirmed active and lasts 12 months.
- We'll remind you before it ends. Renewing is a separate one-time payment.
- ENS subnames created this way have no expiry date of their own on the blockchain, so expiry is something we apply as the parent owner. If you don't renew, after a 14-day grace period your name may be released and could later be sold to someone else.
Between payment and activation
Paying for a name and having it active onchain are separate steps. After payment we create your name with a reviewed transaction and confirm it on the blockchain before marking it active. You can follow this in your dashboard. If we cannot create the name you paid for, you receive a full refund.
Protocol changes
ENS is preparing a major upgrade, known as ENSv2, which changes how names and subname permissions work. When it's appropriate we'll move cillionaire.eth to the new version and aim to carry every active name across. If an upgrade changes your rights, we'll tell you before it happens.
Where your name works
ENS names work in wallets, apps and websites that support ENS. Most web browsers do not resolve .eth names on their own, and support varies between apps. We can't guarantee that any particular app or browser will recognise your name.
